A Neighbor You Can Count On.
Erin's Story
Erin Block was raised on a family farm in southern Mississippi, where she learned the value of hard work, faith, and community. Guided by her family’s values — to treat others with kindness, lend a helping hand, and love your neighbor — Erin built her life around service and compassion. As a single mother, she worked two jobs while earning her accounting degree from the University of Southern Mississippi, relying on family and community support to help her reach her goals. That spirit of resilience brought her to Central Texas, where she moved to Austin sight unseen in search of opportunity and a better life for her daughter.

Over the years, Erin built a career defined by fiscal responsibility and public service. With experience in manufacturing, general contracting, nonprofit management, and government finance, she has spent her professional life ensuring that taxpayer dollars are used wisely and transparently. From managing budgets and securing grants to reviewing costs and forecasting revenue, Erin has a proven record of balancing numbers while keeping people at the heart of every decision. Her warm, approachable personality and deep understanding of public finance make her uniquely suited to serve the residents of Williamson County with both empathy and accountability.
After becoming active in local politics following the 2016 election, Erin discovered a new way to serve her community — by helping good people run for office. She volunteered on races up and down the ballot, hosting phone banks and organizing grassroots efforts that helped elect local leaders who truly listen to their constituents. Now, Erin is ready to take that same dedication and experience to the County Clerk's Office. Guided by her belief that “we are all neighbors helping neighbors,” Erin is committed to building a county government that works for everyone.
